    Theodore L. Jenkins
    Theodore L. Jenkins, 78, Osage City, died early Sunday at a Topeka nursing home. He had been in a Topeka hospital earlier.

    He was born April 28, 1900, in Osage City, and attended Osage City schools. He received his A.B. degree from Washburn University and did graduate work at the University of Kansas.

    He was a school administrator for five years at Delia, and then 40 years at Whiting. He retired in 1968 and returned to Osage City.

    He was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church. Osage City, and a 50-year member of Whiting Masonic Lodge No. 250 and Whiting Order of the Eastern Star No. 278. He was an honorary life member of the National Education Association and a life member of Pi Gamma Mu. He was a member of the Osage City Senior Citizens Club.

    He married Ruth Urich in 1927 in Topeka. She died in 1965.

    Survivors include two nephews, Robert Urich Jr., St. Louis, and Darwin Urich, Minneapolis, Minn.; and a niece. Mrs. Walter Scarborough, Salmon, Idaho.

    Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church. Osage City. Burial will be at Osage City Cemetery, Osage City. Mr. Jenkins will lie in state after 3 p.m. Monday at Crable Funeral Home. Osage City, and at the church before services.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Osage City.
