    CARL W. JOHNSON
    Carl W. Johnson, Delia, 82, was born April 12,1924 on the farm home-steaded by his grandfather at Randolph to Charles and Emma Edgren Johnson.

    He passed away June 9 at Midland Hospice House, Topeka.

    Carl was united in marriage to Margaret Dicks on Aug. 18, 1949 at Leonardville.

    He farmed the home place, also his mother’s farm and later purchased a farm in Jackson County near Delia. He raised livestock, hay and grain. Carl loved his work.

    Carl belonged to Walsburg Lutheran church near Leonardville until the family moved to Topeka for eight years, where they belonged to the First Methodist Church.

    After moving to the farm, he belonged to the Presbyterian Church at Delia for some years. He served on the church boards.

    He was the last surviving member of his family. Preceding him in death were sisters, Elsie and Lillian and brother, Alexis.

    Surviving him are his wife Margaret; children, Rachel Ann Jones, Doug Johnson; sisters-in-law Rachel , Aufderhaar, Geneva Dickson; nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Carl E. Johnson, Steven Johnson; great-grandchildren, Ian Johnson and Sierra Johnson.

    No services are planned.
