    Jerry E. Johnson
    Jerry E. (Muskrat) Johnson, 78, of Topeka passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Rossville Health Center. He was born June 16, 1934 in Topeka, the son of Clarence M. and Louise C. Johnson. Jerry graduated from Topeka High School. He worked for Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railway as a Machinist until retirement in 1996. Jerry was a member of Local No. 378 International Assoc. of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. Jerry married Joyce Underwood on March 17, 1955 in Topeka. She survives of the home. Other survivors include a daughter, Jana Grant, Topeka; two grandchildren Chris (Heidi) Grant and Stephenie (Aaron) Summa; four great-grandchildren, a brother and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Jerry was an avid Harley-Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast. He was one of the originals of the Henry Patterson Topeka Harley-Davidson racing team. There are displays of his motorcycle trophies at the Topeka Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Shop.

    Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. There will be a private burial in Dover, Kansas. Memorial Contributions may be made to Midland Care Hospice Services, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka KS 66606.
