    Mrs. Alfred Jones Died Sunday

    Mrs. Mollie Jones, wife of Alfred Jones, died about 7:30 Sunday evening following a stroke of paralysis she suffered early last Thursday. She had been very ill about two weeks previous to this stroke.

    Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Rossville Presbyterian church conducted by Rev. G. C. Albin; of the Methodist church. Interment was made in Rossville cemetery.

    Mollie Buford was born at Crab Orchard, Lincoln County, Kentucky, Nov. 15, 1855, being 67 years, 7 months and 9 days old at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to Alfred Jones, July 24, 1873 and would have passed her fiftieth wedding anniversary July 24 of this year.

    Ten children were born to this union, five of them preceding the mother to the great beyond. The surviving members of her family are the husband, two daughters, Mrs. Nolan Clardy, of Maple Hill, Mrs. James Noble of Kansas City, Kan., three sons, Archie Jones and Walter Jones of Rossville; Charles Jones, of Omaha, Nebr. She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Anna Snell, Miss Violet Buford, of Omaha; Mrs. Thomas Brown of Atchison, Ks.

    Mrs. Jones became a Christian at the age of fifteen and remained faithful to the close of her life, and will be long remembered by her neighbors and friends for her kind, Christian character.
