    Harold Kaufman
    Harold Kaufman, 51, Delia, died Friday evening at his home. He had been ill with a heart condition for several years.

    He was born near Dorrance Nov. 8, 1924, and had lived in the Delia area for the past nine years. He formerly lived in Washington, Kan.

    He was a farmer and stockman all of his life.

    Kaufman served in the Merchant Marine during World War H and was a member of the Southwest Christian Church, Topeka.

    He was married to Alice Fisher, Jan. 14, 1967, in Topeka. She survives at the home.

    Other survivors include three step-daughters, Mrs. Betty Ensley, 4816 W. 18th Ter.; Carolyn Jennings, Burlingame, and Mrs. Trudy Gift, Alma; two brothers, Leo Kaufman, Belvue, and Melvin Kaufman, Lawrence; three sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Shorney, Narka, Kan.; Mrs. Irene Freeman, Lawrence, and Mrs. Donna Wiley, Lawrence, and nine step-grandchildren.

    Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Southwest Christian Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

    Mr. Kaufman will lie in state at Brennan Funeral Home from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
