    Obituary- Ke-Wash-Kum
    Obituary- Ke-Wash-Kum
I.B. Wilt conveyed the remains of Ke-Wash-Kum, the Indian who died here Tuesday, to the reservation in his motor truck. The trip was made Tuesday night and Mr. Wilt did not get home until 3 o'clock next morning. The Indians held tribal ceremonies over the body before its burial.

Ke-Wash-Kum, an Indian from the reservation was brought here last week for medical treatment. He was suffering from tuberculosis and was past all medical aid, but his relatives spent money freely in hopes something could be done to prolong life. His wife and two children came with him and took one of John Marney's houses in the southwest part of town. Later they moved to the residence one door south of Mrs. Stum west of the creek, where he died Tuesday morning, Ke-Wash-Kum was 28 years old. The family was given every assistance possible by the neighbors in care of the husband and children. The body was taken to the reservation Tuesday night, where burial was made.
