    CLAY CENTER- Harold N. Keener, 99, died Friday, March, 9, 2012, at Medicalodge, Clay Center.
    Mr. Keener was born Aug. 22, 1912, at Rossville, the son of Newton and Bena (Martin) Keener.
    He grew up on a farm in the Wakefield area. He married Doris Lloyd on July 31, 1935, they lived and farmed in the Oak Hill and Longford area until moving to Clay Center in 1976. His wife preceded him in death on Sept. 24, 1984. He was also preceded in death by one sister and one brother. He was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church and a member of the United Methodist Church.

    Survivors include one daughter, Loretta Miles of Clay Center; one son, Larry Keener of Clay Center; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

    A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 15, at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel, Clay Center. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center.

    Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

    Memorials may be made to the Harold Keener Memorial Fund, to be designated later by the family in care of the funeral home, 918 7th St., Clay Center, KS 67432.
