Mr. and Mrs. L. V. Keller, Delia, will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary by holding open house Sunday, March 8, at their farm home north of Delia.
Relatives and friends are invited to call between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m. The couple request no gifts.
Hosts for the occasion will be the couple’s children: Philip W. Keller, John Vernon Keller, Mrs. Geneva Fairbanks, Mrs. Naomi Sumner, Delia, and Mrs. Wanda Parr, Rossville. They have 13 grandchildren.
Mr. Lindsay Vance Keller and Miss Emma Mullinix drove from the Cross Creek district to Holton in a spring wagon, accompanied by Miss Gladys King and Mr. Levi Keller, and were united in marriage at the home of Rev. S. A. Fulton, Presbyterian pastor. They lived six years in the Cross Creek district, then moved to their farm at Delia, where they have lived 44 years.

 | Anniversary- Keller, Lin and Emma 3 Kellers Celebrate 60th Anniversary
The children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Lin and Emma Keller, gathered in their home in Rossville, Ks., to honor this couple on their 60th anniversary on Sunday, March 3. The family tree includes five children (pictured with their parents), thirteen grandchildren, and (to date) five great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Keller were married in Holton, Ks., on March 4, 1914. Their attendants were Mr. Levi Keller and Miss Gladys King (McDaniel). They spent most of their married life on their farm northeast of Delia until their retirement nearly six years ago.

Philip W. Keller and Lillian Pob rislo were married June 2, 1943, in Topeka. She taught school at Little Cross Creek, near Delia, and at the Delia and Silver Lake grade schools.
Mr. Keller farmed and worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. He also was employed with the State of Kansas tax department.

Philip W. Keller, 87, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006 at the McCrite Plaza Retirement Community in Topeka.
He was born Oct. 8,1919 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Lindsay V. and Emma Mullinex Keller.
He grew up and attended schools in the Delia community. He graduated from Delia High School in 1937 and Clark’s Business College in 1950. Philip spent the first half of his working years as a farmer and Goodyear employee. The last half of his working years he spent with the State Dept. of Revenue, retiring in 1984 after twenty eight years of service.
Philip was a member of the Delia Presbyterian Church and the Delia Masonic Lodge # 419.
Philip wanted to thank the people that were kind to him all through his life, especially his neighbors at Brewster Place and the employees, nursing staff and Mrs. McCrite of McCrite Plaza, who were very cordial and professional in taking care of him in his last years. A special heartfelt thanks to Joab, Willie and Theresa, who were such good caregivers over the past few years.
He married Lillian Pobrislo on June 2, 1943. She passed away August 9, 2004. Lillian was the one that helped him the most through life. If there is a hereafter, he hopes the Lord will reward his wife with a wonderful and eternal life.
Survivors include a brother, John Vernon Keller; three sisters, Wanda Parr, Naomi Sumner and Geneva Fairbanks, all of Topeka. He also had numerous nephews and nieces.
Mr. Keller will lie in state after 1:00 pm, Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, Dec. 1 at the funeral home with entombment to follow in the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
