    Frank Killinger Jr.
    Frank Killinger Jr., Topeka, 78, died Friday, May 28,1999, at his home.

    Mr. Killinger was a salesman for the Gas Service Co. for 30 years before he retired in 1985. He served in the Army from 1942 to 1945.

    He was born Oct. 8,1920, in Perry, the son of Frank and Ava Saylor Killinger.

    Mr. Killinger was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council No. 4254 and Capitol Post No. 1 of the American Legion.

    He married Gene Moore on April 7,1951, in Topeka. She survives.

    Other survivors include three sons, Greg Killinger, Overland Park, Doug Killinger, Joplin, Mo., and Steve Killinger, Rossville; two daughters, Karen Hanna, Topeka, and Janet Carrell, Rossville; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

    Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a m. Tuesday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, where Post No. 1 of the American Legion will conduct graveside military services. Mr. Killinger will lie in state after 2 p.m. Monday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, where a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. will be followed by a rosary recited by Knights of Columbus Council No. 4254 at 7:30 p.m.
