    Warren P. Kimbal, 64, Topeka, passed away Friday, June 5, 1987 at his home. Mr. Kimbal was born March 2, 1923 at Topeka, the son of Ralph B. and Ina C. Kannarr Kimbal.

    Mr. Kimbal was a farmer and also was a motor grader operator in Jackson County until he retired in October 1986 due to ill health.

    He had lived in Topeka most of his life. From 1965 until November 1986 he had lived in the Delia and Soldier communities returning to Topeka after that time.

    He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Holton; a 50 year member of the Grange holding memberships in Indian Creek No. 1431, Topeka, and Banner No. 1481 of Holton, having served both Granges as master; a member of Delia and Soldier Lion’s Clubs for 22 years having been a past-president and serving in several district offices in the Lion’s Club; and a member of Circleville Lodge No. 20 A.F. & A.M. of Circleville. He was also a F.F.A. Star Farmer for Seaman High School.

    He was married to Laura M. Wulfkuhle on April 4, 1948 at Topeka. She survives at the home. An infant daughter, Penny Kimbal, preceded him in death in 1965.

    Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Laura M. Kimbal, of the home, a son and daughter-in-law, David W. and Joanna Kimbal, Atlanta, Ga., two daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette M. and Ronnie Bowen, Atlanta, Ga., and Joyce K. and Kevin Gibson, Leona, a sister, Ruth Esther Shorthill, Topeka, an aunt, Ruth Marken, Topeka, and seven grandchildren.

    Funeral services for Mr. Kimbal were at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 1987 at Second Presbyterian Church. Masonic graveside services were conducted by Circleville Lodge No. A.F. & A.M. at Rochester Cemetery.     He was born March 2, 1923, in Topeka, the son of Ralph B. and Ina C. Karinarr Kimbal. He had lived in Topeka most of his life. He lived in the Delia and Soldier community from 1965 to 1986, before he returned to Topeka.

    He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Holton. He was a 50-year member of the Grange, holding memberships in Indian Creek No. 1431, Topeka, and Banner No. 1481, Holton. He served both Granges as master.

    He was a member of the Delia and Soldier Lion’s clubs and had been a Lion’s Club member for 22 years. He was a past president of the Lion’s Club and served in several district offices. He was a member of the Circleville Lodge No. 20 AF&AM and was a Future Farmers of America Star Farmer, awarded by Seaman High School.

    He married Laura M. Wulfkuhle April 4, 1948, in Topeka. She survives, of the home.

    Other survivors include a son, David W. Kimbal, Atlanta; four daughters, Jeanette M. Bowen, Atlanta, Joyce K. Gibson, Leona, Karla Zwirtz, Hartshorn, Mo., and Zann Martin, Topeka; one sister, Ruth Esther Shorthill, Topeka; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. An infant daughter, Penny Kimbal, preceded him in death in 1965.

    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Second Presbyterian Church, 210 N.W. Menninger Road, Topeka. A Masonic graveside service will be performed by the Circleville Lodge No. 20, AF&AM at Rochester Cemetery. He will lie in state from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Parker-Price Mortuary, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the church. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
