    Joseph M. King, 68, Holton, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 1988, at the home of a sister near Holton.

    Mr. King worked at Armours Nursing Home at Kansas City, Kan., when he retired.

    He was born Nov. 28, 1919, at Kansas City, Kan., the son of James Mack and Mary Keller King. He lived in the Holton community five years and previously lived in Shawnee 15 years.

    Mr. King was a member of a Baptist Church in Kansas City, Mo.

    Survivors include three half sisters, Frances McCollum, Holton, Sara Werren, Shawnee, and Goldie Pino, Dallas; and a half brother, Wilbur King, Kansas City, Kan.

    Cremation was planned. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church in Holton. Inurnment will be in Adrian Cemetery near Emmett. Mercer Funeral Home of Holton is in charge of arrangements.
