    Carl A. Kolterman
    ONAGA — Carl A. Kolterman, 87, Onaga, died Thursday, Oct. 8, 1998, in an Onaga hospital.

    Mr. Kolterman and his wife farmed north of Duluth for 38 years. He had worked on a farm with his brothers until the early 1940s.

    He was born Sept. 26, 1911, in Duluth, the son of Charles Kolterman and Hulda Scholtz. He graduated from Onaga High School.

    Mr. Kolterman was a member of the Grange organization in Duluth.

    He married Louise Eichem on Feb. 23 1943, in Topeka. She survives.

    Other survivors include three sons, Charles Kolterman and Donald Kolterman, both of Onaga, and Randy Kolterman, Littleton, Colo.; a daughter, Joyce Wheeler, Wheaton; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Kufahl Funeral Home in Wheaton. Burial will be in Home Cemetery in Duluth. Mr. Kolterman will lie in state at the church.

    Contributions may be made to the Carl Kolterman Memorial Fund to be designated later and sent in care of the funeral home.
