    Mrs. Katie Kunkel
    OSKALOOSA—Mrs. Katie B.
    Kunkel, 90, Delia, died Tuesday at a nursing home in St. Marys where she had lived since March of this year.

    She was born Jan. 12, 1881, at Wakarusa and lived most of her life in the Thompsonville and Perry communities, moving to Delia in 1966.

    Mrs. Kunkel was a member of the Perry United Methodist Church and the Women’s Rural Hope Club.

    She was married in October, 1901 to Gaylord Kunkel, who preceded her in death in 1961.

    She is survived by a son, Oscar McCoy, Delia; a daughter, Mary Kunkel, Knoxville, Iowa, and two grandchildren.

    Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Perry United Methodist Church, with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Perry. Hampton Funeral Home, Oskaloosa, is in charge of arrangements.
