    Eugene Kennedy
    EMMETT — Eugene Kennedy, 64, Emmett, died Saturday, March 12, 1988, at a Topeka hospital.

    Mr. Kennedy owned and operated Kennedy's Motor Co. in Emmett. He was in the Army during World War II, having served in the South Pacific and New Guinea from 1943 to 1945.

    He was born Oct. 11, 1923, at Emmett, the son of William and Agnes C. Reilly Kennedy. He lived all of his life in Emmett.

    Mr. Kennedy was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and a member of the former American Legion post, both at Emmett.

    Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Agnes C. Kennedy, Emmett; and a brother, Frank J. Kennedy, Emmett.

    Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church at Emmett. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery at St. Marys. Mr. Kennedy will lie in state after noon Monday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church at Emmett.
