    Martin Joseph Kennedy
    Martin Joseph Kennedy, 89, 233 Elmwood, died Monday at a Topeka hospital.

    He was born Jan. 1,1893, at Ivesdale, Ill., the son of Christopher and Julia Reilly Kennedy, and lived at Emmett before he moved to Topeka in 1942.

    Mr. Kennedy was a farmer and stockman before he retired. He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church.

    He was married to Georgia Marie Immenschuh, who died in 1957. He was married to Clara Kramer March 19, 1974, in Topeka. She survives. He was preceded in death by two daughters and a son.

    Other survivors include two sons, Robert Kennedy, 836 N. Michigan, and Willard Kennedy, rural Oskaloosa; two daughters, Vivian Sullivan, Stanley, and Vivina Rowland, Lawrence; a brother, Leo Kennedy, Emmett; and a sister, Bridget Simecka, Topeka; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

    Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Name Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery at St. Marys. Mr. Kennedy will lie in state from 2 until 9 p.m. today at Brennan Funeral Home where parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
