Jarmilla Geraldine Kovar
Jarmilla Geraldine Kovar, 77, formerly of Topeka, died Friday, Oct. 25, 1996, at an Overland Park nursing home.
Mrs. Kovar had worked for Sears in Chicago, Topeka, on the Plaza at Kansas City, Mo., and in Overland Park before she retired after 35 years of service.
She was born Nov. 25, 1918, at Houston, the daughter of John Mitcha Sr. and Pauline Zobal Mitcha. She had lived in Texas, Chicago, Topeka, Rossville and Wenatchee, Wash., before she moved to Overland Park.
Mrs. Kovar was a member of Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church at Overland Park, Beulah Chapter No. 34 of the Order of the Eastern Star in Topeka and a 50- year member of the of the ZCBJ Lodge at Rossville.
She married Henry Kovar on March 30, 1946, at Topeka. He survives.
Graveside services at Prairie Home Cemetery will be private. Mrs. Kovar will lie in state from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Parker-Price Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Beulah Chapter No. 34 of the Order of the Eastern Star and sent in care of Marlene Finney, 2924 S.W. Maupin Lane, Topeka, 66614-4148.

Jarmilla Geraldine Kovar, 77, died Friday, October 25, 1996, at the Indian Creek Nursing Center in Overland Park.
She was born November 25, 1918, in Houston, Tex., daughter of John Mitcha, Sr. and Pauline Zobal Mitcha. She had lived in Overland Park for many years.
Mrs. Kovar had also lived in Texas, Chicago, Ill., Topeka, Rossville, and Wenatchee, Wash, before moving to Overland Park. She had worked for Sears Roebuck and Co. in Chicago, Topeka, on the Plaza at Kansas City, Mo., and in Overland Park for 35 years before she retired. Mrs. Kovar was a member of Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church at Overland Park; Beulah Chapter #34, Order of the Eastern Star in Topeka; and was a 50-year member of the ZCBJ Lodge at Rossville.
She was married to Henry Kovar March 30,1946, in Topeka. He survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister-in-law, Ruth Mitcha, Overland Park; nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service was held Monday at Prairie Home Cemetery, Topeka, under direction of the Parker-Price Mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to Beulah Chapter #34, Order of the Eastern Star, and sent in care of Marlene Finney, 29024 S.W. Maupin Lane, Topeka 66614-4148.
