| Obituary- Kovar, Paul PAUL KOVAR
Paul Peter Kovar, 95, of Rossville died Wednesday morning at the Lakeside Nursing Home in Silver Lake after a long illness. He was the son of Veronica Swetlick and Paul Kovar. He was born January 20, 1867, near Seninka, Moravia, and came to this country with his parents when he was eight years old. The family settled on a farm between Rossville and Delia. Mr. Kovar has spent most of his life farming in this community.
He was married to Frances Kovarik in Bryan, Texas February 24, 1894. Mrs. Kovar preceded him in death in February 1939.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Letha Olejnik of Delia, Mrs. Frances Slansky, Plainville, Kansas; five sons, Edd J. Kovar, Wenatchee, Wash., George Kovar of Merriam, Kansas, Henry? Kovar of Overland Park,
Kansas, Ben Kovar of Atchison, Kansas, Emial Kovar of Rossville; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. One grandson, Frank Lysek of Grover City, California, war reared by the Kovars.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the Rossville Presbyterian Church with burial in Czech-Moravian Cemetery, Rossville. Rev. Donald Sears of Rossville officiated. Pallbearers were Frank Wood, James Rezac, Edd Smatla, Leonard Dodge, Frank Stach and Ben Stach.
