    WOMAN DIES IN WRECK
OSKALOOSA – a 48-year-old Meriden woman died Saturday in a truck-motorcycle accident just east of Oskaloosa, authorities said.

The Kansas Highway Patrol identified the victim as Kimberly A. Kreipe, of Meriden. First responders were sent about noon to K-92 highway at mile marker 11.3 in Jefferson County.

Troopers said Kreipe was a passenger on a 1973 Harley Davidson motorcycle being driven by Dale A. Beurman, 58, of Oskaloosa.

The motorcycle ran into the back of a 1986 GMC truck, troopers said, which was stopped in the lane of traffic waiting to turn.

Beurman was taken to Stormont Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka with possible injuries. Kreipe was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the GMC, identified as Brandon C. Smyth, 34, of Oskaloosa, was uninjured. According to the highway patrol’s crash log, troopers didn’t locate any motorcycle helmets at the scene. Smyth was reported to be wearing his seat belt.
