    William H. Markham
    Willam H. Markham, 69, veteran Topeka barber, died Sunday morning in a Topeka hospital. His home was at 415 Western.

    Mr. Markham was a native born boy of Rossville. Born here February 17, 1879, he made this community his home until about 35 years ago when he moved to Topeka. At one time he owned and operated a barber shop at Sixth and Kansas, and during World War I managed a shop at Camp Funston said to be the largest in the world.

    He was a member of Golden Rule Lodge No. 90, A.F. & A.M., the Scottish Rite bodies, Modern Woodmen of America and the West Side Christian Church.

    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Linda Markham of the home; a son, Clarence O. Markham, Oklahoma City, Okla.; two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Hudson, Overland Park, Kansas, and Miss Dorothy Markham, Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Charles F. Markham, Topeka; and four grandchildren, Bill and Bob Hudson, Overland Park; Roger and Richard Markham, Oklahoma City.

    The funeral was held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Parker's Mortuary and the body brought to Rossville cemetery for burial.
