Larry and Ann Marshall, ST. Marys, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, October 1, with a reception at the Emmett United Methodist Church from 2 to 4 in the afternoon, hosted by their family.
Larry Marshall and Ann Rezac were married October 3,1950, in Topeka.
They are the parents of three children, Pam Hays, Rossville, Stan Marshall, El Dorado, and Larry D. Marshall, Silver Lake. They have eight grandchildren.
Larry farmed in the Emmett area and Ann was a homemaker.
Relatives and friends of the couple are invited to help them celebrate this special event. The couple requests no gifts, please.

St. Marys-Laurence Lee "Larry" Marshall, 81, died Monday,
August 31, 2009 at the Rossville Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.
He was born April 28, 1928 at Mayetta, the son of Robert Luther and Jessie May Magers Marshall. Mr. Marshall grew up in the Delia and Emmett communities and graduated from Emmett High School in 1947.
Larry served in the Army National Guard and was called to active duty during the Korean War. After being discharged from the military he returned to the Emmett community and began farming, where he was a farmer and stockman all of his life. Mr. Marshall was a member of the Emmett United Methodist Church. He also was a member of Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion at Rossville.
Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Rose Frost on October 12,1979 and a granddaughter, Angela J. Persons on December 16,1999.
On October 3, 1950 he was united in marriage to Victoria Ann Rezac. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Pam Hays, Rossville; two sons, Stanley (Doris) Marshall, El Dorado, and Larry D. (Kristi) St. Marys; a sister, Roberta Laswell, Emmett; eight grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren with two on the way.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 4, 2009 at the Emmett United Methodist Church. Interment with military graveside services conducted by Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion will be in St. Clere Cemetery, Emmett. Mr. Marshall will lie in state after 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 3, 2009 with the family receiving friends from 6:30 until 8:00 P.M. at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys.
