FRANCIS H. MARTIN

Francis H. Martin, 66, 1726 Belvoir Court, was dead on ar-rival at a Topeka hospital Mon¬day. He had a heart ailment.
Mr. Martin was deputy state director of the Selective Service agency and had been employed in the Selective Service office 30 years.
He was born Jan. 30, 1903, at Rossville and spent his life in Topeka. He attended Topeka schools. He was a member of Lowman United Methodist Church, Golden Rule Lodge No. 90, AF&AM, Scottish Rite and York Rite bodies, and Arab Shrine.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mildred Martin, at home; a son, Francis M. Martin, 310 N. Elmwood; a brother, Merle Martin, 204 Kendall; a sister, Mrs. Marjorie Jones, Galveston, Tex., and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Lowman United Methodist Church.
