    MRS. AGNES MARTINEK
    Mrs. Agnes Martinek, 84, died MonŽday at her farm home near Delia She was born January 21, 1870, in MonŽrovia and came to the United States when she was 11 years old. She was married in 1890 to Vincent Martinek of Rossville and had lived on the same farm since her marriage.
    She was a member of the Sacred Heart Parish at Delia and the Monrovian Lodge. Her husband preceded her in death.
    She was mother of 13 children, 11 of whom survive. They are: Vincent and William Martinek, Silver Lake; Steven Martinek, Topeka; Mrs. Agnes Kozad, Scranton; Mrs. Helen Macha, Council Grove; Mrs. Stella Kovar, Emil, Bennie, Henry and Albert Martinek of Rossville, and Mrs. Mae Brown, Kansas City, Mo.
    Also surviving are a brother, Joe Simecka, Delia; 25 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral serŽvices were held at 8 a. m. Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Church at Delia, with burial in Mount Calvary CemeŽtery at St. Marys. The Rosary was reŽcited at 8:30 p. m. Tuesday at her home.

    Mrs. Agnes Martinek
    Funeral services for Mrs. AgŽnes Martinek, 84, who died Mon-day at her farm home eight miles north of Rossville, will be held at 8 am Wednesday at the Sacred Heart church at Delia, with burial in Mount Calvary cemetery at St. Marys. The roŽsary will be recited at 8:30 pm Tuesday at her home.
    She was born January 21, 1870, in Moravia, and came to the United States when 11 years old. She was married in 1890 to Vincent Martinek of Rossville and had lived on the same farm since her marriage.
    Her husband preceded her in death. She was a member of the Sarced Heart parish at Delia and the Moravian lodge of Rossville.
    She was the mother of 13 chilŽdren, 11 of whom still survive. They are Vincent and William Martinek, both of Silver Lake; Steven Martinek of 230 Chandler; Mrs. Agnes Kozad of Scranton; Mrs. Helen Macha of Council Grove; Mrs. Stella Kovar, Emil, Bennie, Henry, and Albert MarŽtinek, all of Rossville; and Mrs. Mae Brown of Kansas City, Mo.
    Also surviving are a brother, Joe Simecka of Delia, 25 grandŽchildren and 19 great-grandchilŽdren.

    Mrs. Agnes Martinek was pleasantly surprised Sunday afternoon when the following children came in and helped her celebrate her 74th birthday anniversary: Mr. and Mrs. Richard Macha and sons, of Council Grove; Mr. and Mrs. Vinc Martinek and Melvin, Mr. and Mrs. William Martinek and family of Silver Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Pete Kovar and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Martinek and sons, and Emial Martinek. Mrs. Martinek is enjoying fairly good health.

    Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Martinek entertained their club from Delia Thursday evening at their home. Refreshments were served to these guests: Mr. and Mrs. John Wehner, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Muller, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Matyak, Mr. and Mrs. John Lane.

    Mrs. Agnes Martinek was pleasantly surprised when a number of friends and relatives dropped in to help her celebrate her 80th birthday anniversary. She is convalescing from a fractured rib but was happy to see them all. Besides the honored guest, others present were: Emil Martinek, Ray Martinek, Paul Martinek, Frank Simecka of Delia; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Martinek, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Martinek, Louise, Bobbie and Orville of Silver Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Pete Kovar, Agnes Betty and Evelyn; Dr. and Mrs. A.J. Brown, Jeannine and Janette of Kansas City, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Norman of Kansas City; Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Martinek, Douglas and Dwight, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Macha, Richard and Bennie of Council Grove; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Martinek Jr., Mr. and Mrs. [Earl] Kovar, Earl and Yvonne, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Pittle of Topeka.
