Edith Mae Mase, 74, died Monday at Asbury Hospital.
Mrs. Mase was born June 21, 1909, at Delia. She moved from St. John to Salina in 1957.
She was a teacher and a housewife.
She graduated from Emporia State Teachers College in 1932. She taught physical education at St. John for 11 years and taught in Salina elementary schools for four years.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Sacred Literature No. 1, Alpha Delta Kappa sorority and the Schooner Mariners Club, and was past president of GFWC, Downtown Lioness Club and United Presbyterian Women.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Roger Craft, Bozeman, Montana; a son, Gerald, Houston, Texas; a brother, Evan Lewelling, Rossville; a sister, Elsie Clemans, Clovis, California; and seven grandchildren.
The funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church, Salina, the Rev. Tom Glenn and Dr. Bernard Hawley officiating. Burial was to be in Delphos Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the First Presbyterian Church or the Hospice of Salina. Geisendorf Rush Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
