    Naomi Olive Massey
    Naomi Olive Massey, 83, Topeka, died Sunday, June 21, 1992, at the home of a niece, Ethel Mae DeGraff, in Topeka.

    She was born Aug. 15, 1908, in Rossville, the daughter of Claude and Ada may Heslet Yocum. She lived in Manhattan and Wamego before she moved to Topeka in 1987.

    Mrs. Massey joined the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 4 in 1955 in Portland, Ore., and was president of the aerie in 1961 to 1962. She transferred membership to Junction City in 1974, then to FOE Aerie No. 58 Auxiliary in Topeka in 1987.

    She joined Pearce-Keller Unit No. 17 of the American Legion Auxiliary in Manhattan in 1969 and was president of the Manhattan unit in 1975 to 1976. She transferred membership in 1982 to Harold Johnson Unit No. 172 of the American Legion Auxiliary in Wamego.

    Her first husband, Frank Lockwood, died in 1964. She was married to Lee Massey in April 1974 at Alta Vista. He died in July 1985.

    Survivors include a stepdaughter, Darlene Kaberline, Topeka; and a sister, Fern Gilliland, Topeka.

    Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Massey will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at the mortuary, Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care, 1272 Fillmore, 66604-1167.
