He was an the Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was born Sept. 25, 1920, at Carter, S.D., the son of Paul and Marie Dolezilek. Matyak. He attended South Dakota elementary schools. He was married to Dorothy Landis May 8, 1949, in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Shirley Jenssen, Topeka; a sister, Lydia Anderson, Topeka; two brothers. Paul Matyak, Delia, and Joe Matyak, Rossville: and a grandson. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Prairie Home Cemetery.
