A wedding of considerable interest to all Rossville people was that of Miss Ethel Reid and Mr. William Kerr, of Denver, Colo., which occurred at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Reid, one mile east of Rossville, Wednesday afternoon, April 21, at 2 o'clock.

The wedding was performed in the presence of relatives of the two young people and a few immediate friends of the two families. The ring ceremony was used performed by the Rev. H.L. Nelson, of Topeka. The house was beautifully decorated with ferns and spring flowers. In the east window of the living room where the bridal couple stood was a bower of flowers. The bride's gown was of ivory pussy willow taffeta with cord shirrings. The drapery over the waist and sleeves was made of oriental lace. With it was worn white satin pumps with chiffon bows. The bride wore a corsage bouquet of pink sweet peas and lilies of the valley. Immediately after the ceremony while the bridal couple were receiving the congratulations of the relatives and friends Miss Mabel Howerton played Mendelssohn's spring song of waltz caprice.

After the guests have given the young people their wishes for a long and happy wedded life all repaired to the dining room where light refreshments were served.

Both the young people were born in Rossville township, the groom having left here when a boy. In his many visits here since he has gained the friendship of all who have met him by his quiet unassuming manners. For many years he has worked as a lithographer in various cities of the country and is now employed by the Banker Supply Co., at Denver, Colo.

She is a graduate of the Rossville public and high schools and a graduate of Baker university at Baldwin. She is a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

Mr. and Mrs. Kerr left immediately after the ceremony for St. Marys where they caught the evening flier for Denver.

The happy couple were the recipients of many beautiful presents a number of which were for substantial sums of money. The best wishes of a host of lifetime friends go with Mr. and Mrs. Kerr to their Colorado home. The guests were: Rev. and Mrs. H.L. Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. John James of Topeka, Mrs. Grace L.
