When Struck By Car
Graveside services were held last Thursday in Topeka Cemetery for Roscoe Mauk, 80, of 1311 N. Jackson, Topeka, who died the previous Tuesday morning in a Topeka hospital of injuries he suffered when struck by a car on Saturday night at Morse and N. Jackson.
Mauk formerly lived in Rossville and worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 47 years. He moved to Topeka 35 years ago. He was Topeka’s sixth death in traffic mishaps in 1965.
His wife, Mrs. Etta Mauk, died in 1963.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marvin Witt of Topeka; two grandsons, Warren G. Deal and Wayne L. Deal, both of Topeka; and three great -granddaughters.
