    Preston S. "Buck" May
    Carbondale - Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church, Osage City, for Preston Salatial "Buck" May, 76, Carbondale. He died Thursday, June 30, at his home.

    He was born March 22, 1907, at Leavenworth, the son of Henry E. and Cassie May Detimore Tresize.

    Mr. May worked on a cattle ranch in Jackson County from 1947 to 1966 when he moved to Carbondale. He later worked at Carbondale Elevator until he retired in 1970.

    He was married to Ruby Madeline Conger Aug. 26, 1931, at Delia. She survives.

    Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Rupp and Mrs. Darlene Schrader, both of Osage City; four sons, James May, Boise, Idaho, Robert May, Salem, S.D., Donald May, Snohomish, Wash., and Leroy May, Salina; four sisters, Mrs. Helen Hayes, Denison, Mrs. Lily Buckley, Eugene, Ore., Mrs. Dottie Porter, Topeka, and Mrs. Ruth Harris, Lake Charles, La.; two brothers, Eddie May, Enterprise, and Claude May, Wichita; 24 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

    Burial will be in Carbondale Cemetery. Mr. May will lie in state after noon today at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas Heart Association in care of Greenwood-Roberts Funeral Home, Overbrook.
