    Marion Bryan McDaniel
    Marion Bryan McDaniel, 88, Silver Lake, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, at a Rossville nursing home after a long illness.

    Mr. McDaniel was a retired carpenter. He had served several terms as mayor of Silver Lake.

    He was born Jan. 3, 1897, in Kentucky, the son of Nora Wyatt and William McDaniel. He spent his early life in Maysville, Ky., and lived in Silver Lake since 1945.

    Mr. McDaniel was a member of First Baptist Church, Silver Lake. He was a former member of Ohio I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 132 and the Silver Lake volunteer, Fire Department. He served on the Silver Lake City Council 20 years.

    His wife, Mrs. Lutie Wyatt McDaniel, died in 1970.

    Survivors include a son, Robert J. McDaniel, Silver Lake; three brothers, Bill McDaniel, Silver Lake, Robert I. McDaniel, Topeka, and John McDaniel, Seal Beach, Calif; a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Berry, Phoenix, Ariz; and three grandsons.

    Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be in Silver Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 301 Railroad Ave., Silver Lake, 66539.
