MARY GLANNON McDERMOTT was born February 19, 1875 at St Louis Missouri. At the age of 5 she moved with her parents to Kansas where she grew to womanhood. In 1892 she was married to James McDermott of Wheaton. To this union were born six children, two dying in infancy. She departed this life at St Francis hospital Topeka, Kansas, January 6, 1937. Funeral service were held, Friday morning at 9:30 at St Columbkille Catholic church at Blaine. She was laid to rest beside her husband. He preceded her in death, February 1921. She leaves to mourn her death, daughters, Mrs. Walt Pierson of Blaine, Mrs. Dave Rasch of P(the remaining is cut off-could be Perry), Mrs Clint Ramer of Silver Lake, one son, James McDermott of I(cutoff). She also leaves seven grandchildren, four sisters, Misses Sadie and Celia Glannon of Alton, Illinois: Mrs F(cutoff) Dwiggens of Alton, Missouri: Mrs Will Brube of Scott City, Kansas, four brothers, John Glannon of Blaine, Allan Glannon of Kansas City, Missouri, Lawrence Glannon of Wheaton and Richard Glannon of Alton, Illinois. |
