    Emmett McGrath
    OTTAWA - Emmett McGrath, 86, Route 4, Ottawa, died Monday, May 14, at his home.

    Mr. McGrath was a farmer and dairyman in the Delia community before he moved in 1971 to the Ottawa community where he farmed.

    He was born Dec. 19, 1898, at Holton, the son of Matthew and Margaret McAsey McGrath.

    Mr. McGrath was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Ottawa.

    He was married to Mary Bauer Oct. 3, 1928, at Delia. She survives. A daughter, Frances McGrath, died in 1948, and a son, Robert McGrath, died in 1954.

    Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jean Floersch, Ottawa; three brothers, George McGrath, Emporia, Gerald McGrath, Ottawa, and Harry McGrath, Compton, Ark.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

    Mass of Christian burial will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ottawa. Burial will be at noon Thursday in Mount Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys. Mr. McGrath will lie in state until 8 a.m. Thursday at Dengel and Son Mortuary at Ottawa where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. today.
