    Jennie Kesler

    Miss Jennie Kesler passed away Tuesday, March 16, at Christ's hospital in Topeka following two operations a few days previous. Despite blood transfusions following the operations she failed to rally.

    Miss Jennie was a home girl and since the death of her mother had kept the home for her father, John Kesler in this city. She was born in this community February 11th, 1896. At the date of her death she had passed her 41st birthday anniversary by one month and 3 days.

    Beside her father John Kesler she leaves to mourn her departure three brothers and two sisters, Grover of Rossville; Mike of Perry; William of Maple Hill, Mrs. L.D. Fauerbauch, Rossville and Mrs. Leo Allen of St. Marys; three nephews and one niece. Her mother and one brother preceded her in death.

    Funeral services were held from the Presbyterian church, today (Thursday) at 2 o'clock. Rev. H.L. Nelson conducted the services. Music was furnished by Mrs. Fannie Reser, Mrs. Ruth Hesse, Mrs. Arline Reid, and Mrs. Minnie Navarre, with Mrs. Mabel Eversole accompanying at the piano.

    The pall bearers were Richard Cantillon, Omar Hopkins, Everett Pelfrey, Harry Gutshall, Ed Kovar and Perry Stumbaugh. Burial was in the Rossville cemetery.


    Mrs. Fred Hesse of St. Marys was here today to attend the funeral of Miss Jennie Kesler.

    Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kesler and son of Perry were called to Rossville Tuesday by the death of his sister, Miss Jennie Kesler.


    Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Doughan of Topeka, drove out to Rossville today to attend the funeral of Miss Jennie Kesler.

    Miss Margaret Bond of Topeka was in Rossville today to attend the funeral of Jennie Kesler and call on relatives.
