Wm. McGuire expired very suddenly last night at 6:15 at the home of his brother Henry McGuire while sitting on the porch, death being due to heart trouble and a hemorrhage. Mr. McGuire had been ailing for some time, but ate a hearty supper shortly before his death. Mrs. McGuire happened to step to the door leading from the kitchen just in time to see Mr. McGuire fall forward on the ground. The deceased leaves three grown children, two boys, Willie and Frank McGuire and one married daughter, all living in Topeka, besides three brothers, Robert McGuire of Belvue and Henry and James of this city.
Mr. McGuire has lived here off and on for over forty years since coming from Tennessee where he was born. He was 61 years of age. The funeral will be held tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at the M.E. church and interment made in the Rossville cemetery. |
