| Anniversary- McLin, Gordon and Mary McLins Will Celebrate Golden Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McLin will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception for relatives and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 25, in the Grove Township Hall, Grove.
The celebration will be hosted by their son and daughter-in- law, Marshall and Mary McLin, and grandchildren, Denise and Michael. The couple requests no gifts, please.
Mr. and Mrs. McLin were married October 30,1935, in Beat- tie.
Mr. McLin retired from the grocery business and farming. Mrs. McLin retired from the State of Kansas and the grocery business.

SILVER LAKE — Mary P. McLin, 82, Silver Lake, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at a St. Marys hospital.
Mrs. McLin and her husband owned and operated the Grove country Store from 1948 to 1963 and the IGA store in Delia from 1963 to 1968. She later worked for the State of Kansas for 10 years, and she was caretaker for the Walnut Hill Cemetery at Grove for many years. She also served 15 years on the Shawnee County Election Board.
She was born Aug. 7, 1916, in Silver Lake, the daughter of Hiram and Lillian Goodrick Mongold. She graduated from Silver Lake High School and was a lifelong resident of Silver Lake.
Mrs. McLin was a member of the Silver Lake United Methodist Church, Grove Harvest Grange and Delia Quilters, and she was a 4-H leader for 25 years.
She married J. Gordon McLin on Oct. 31, 1937, at Beattie. He died July 22,1998.
Survivors include a son, Marshall McLin, Silver Lake; two brothers, Homer Mongold, Silver Lake, and George Mongold, Perry; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Parker- Price Mortuary in Topeka. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery at Grove. Mrs. McLin will lie in state after 1 p.m. today at the mortuary where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m.
