    Bennie McMaster
    HOLTON – Bennie Ray McMaster, 69, Holton, died Thursday, Feb 20., 2003 at his home.

    Mr. McMaster was a truck driver for Consolidated Freight and other trucking companies in the Topeka area before he retired. He also served on the Shawnee County Mounted Posse.

    He was born Dec. 13, 1933, in Eskridge, to Ray and Jennie Eastman McMaster. He graduated from Rossville High School in 1951 and moved to Topeka from Holton in 1966.

    Mr. McMaster was a member of Seaman Congregational Church, Post No. 1786 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Meriden, Topeka North Post No. 400 of the American Legion and the Trucker’s Union Local No. 696.

    He married Alice C. Massey on Nov. 23, 1955, in Topeka. She survives.

    Other survivors include a son, Donnie McMaster, Beattie; two daughters, Pamela Kay McMaster, Holton and Angie Carlson, Topeka; a sister, Betty Clinton, Topeka; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

    Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in Holton Cemetery, Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
