| Obituary- Lake, Leon Leon Walter Lake
Leon Walter Lake, 51, Topeka, died Sunday, June 27, 1999 at Stormont Vail Regional Health Center of complications due to a brain aneurysm.
He was born July 29, 1947, on the family farm near Melvern, the son of Myron Vincent and Velma Marie Coble Lake.
He moved to Topeka in 1969.
Mr. Lake was reared on the family farm near Melvern and was graduated from Melvern High School in 1965. He was a member of the Army National Guard and served one year in Vietnam with the 69th Infantry.
Mr. Lake and his two sons owned and operated Leon Lake Construction, the business which he founded in 1973.
He married Patricia Ann Olinghouse December 21, 1968, at Shore Mennonite Church near Shipshewanda, IN. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Leon “Wayne” Lake, Topeka, Eric Vincent Lake, Lenexa; his father, Myron Vincent Lake, Melvern; three brothers, Marvin Vincent Lake, Waverly, Donald Keith Lake, [missing rest]
