Miller, Rossville, will honor them with a reception and dance in celebration of their 40th wedding anniversary. The reception at 7 p.m. and dance at 9 p.m. will be Saturday, June 7, in the American Legion Building, Rossville. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. The couple asks that no gifts be presented. Hosts will be Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wilkinson, Donna Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Wehner, Mr. and Mrs. Brad Miller, and Mr. and Mrs. Randy Erikson. Mr. and Mrs. Miller were married May 17, 1940, in Topeka. They have lived in the Rossville and Topeka areas most of their married life. Mr. Miller was employed in construction and has been farming for the last 18 years. Mrs. Miller works part-time at Katie’s Korner in St. Marys.
  		Anniversary- Miller, Clyde and Phyllis 2 Clyde and Phyllis Miller at their wedding Miller Couple Will Have Reception for 50th Anniversary Clyde and Phyllis Miller, Rossville, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 20, at the Rossville American Legion building. The reception will be hosted by their children, Peggy Wilkinson, Donna and Ted Dewhurst, Linda and Larry Wehner, Brad and Faye Miller, Kate and Tom McNorton; and their 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Phyllis Sorden and Clyde Miller were married May 17, 1940, in Topeka, in the home of the Reverend Nelson. The couple plan a trip to the west coast this fall.
  		Anniversary- Miller, Clyde and Phyllis 3 A very special "Thanks" to our children for giving us a most perfect 50th wedding anniversary reception.   Obituary- Miller, Clyde Clyde H. Miller ROSSVILLE- Clyde H. Miller, 89, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2007 at the Rossville Care Center. Clyde was born November 24, 1917 in Belvue, the son of Earl and Esther Ward Miller. He was raised the larger part of his life in and around the Rossville area. He married Phyllis Fawn Sorden on May 17, 1940. She died January 11, 2000. Clyde was a carpenter and belonged to Carpenters Local 1445 in Topeka. He was a 50 year member of Lake Lodge No. 50 AE & AM, Silver Lake. He returned to the Rossville area in 1963 to farm and that is where he spent the remainder of his life. Survivors include his children, Peggy Wilkinson, Canal Winchester, OH, Donna and her husband Ted Dewhurst, Niskayuna, NY, Linda and her husband Larry Wehner, Rossville, Brad and his wife Faye Miller, Rossville and Phyllis Kathleen Miller, Topeka; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys. Mr. Miller will lie in state after 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. Interment will be in the Rossville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Community Library and sent in care of the funeral home.
