DOVER - Harold Dale “Cap” Miller, 82, Dover, died Friday, Oct. 9, 1998, at his home.
Mr. Miller was a farmer and stockman until he retired in 1986.
He was born May 8, 1917, in Dover, the son of Frank Milton and Maggie Osborn Miller. He graduated from Dover High School in 1936 and lived most of his life in Dover.
Mr. Miller was a member of Dover Federated Church and the Rossville Rollers.
He married Elsie V. Wright on Nov. 8, 1947, in Topeka. She died Jan. 18, 1995.
Survivors include two daughters, Darlene George, Dover, and Marla Farrar, Topeka; a son, Dennis Miller, Dover; four grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Dover Federated Church. Burial will be in Dover Cemetery. Mr. Miller will lie in state from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday in Crable Funeral Chapel in Eskridge.
Memorial contributions may be made to Dover Federated Church and sent in care of the funeral chapel.

Harold Dale “Cap” Miller, 82, died Thursday, October 8, 1998, at his home in Dover.
He was born May 8, 1917, at Dover, the son of Frank Milton and Maggie Osborn Miller. He attended grade school at Century School District 100, located north of Dover and was graduated from Dover High School in 1936. He had lived in the Dover community most of his life.
Mr. Miller was a farmer and stockman before he retired in 1986.
He was a member of the Dover Federated Church, and of the Rossville Rollers.
On November 8, 1947, he was united in marriage to Elsie V. Wright at Topeka. She died January 18, 1995.
Survivors include two daughters, Darlene George, Dover, and Marla Farrar, Topeka; one son, Dennis Miller, Dover; four grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
