| Obituary- Lambert, David 1 DAVID A. LAMBERT
David A. Lambert a resident of Rossville the past thirty years passed away in Christs hospital, Tuesday night, May 18. He had been in the hospital for the past eight weeks, for treatment following an illness of long standing.
Mr. Lambert was born May 19, 1868, in Springfield, Ill., and came to St. Marys, with his family, at the age of 19 years.
He was united in marriage to Miss Lily Kemp, of St. Marys, Kns., on Dec. 21, 1892. Mrs. Lambert passed away Oct. 8, 1931.
To this union five children were born—four daughters, and one son, all of whom are surviving.
Mr. Lambert and his family have lived in and near Rossville for a long time, and made many friends. He was a devoted husband and father and neighbor and friend to all.
Those surviving are: Mrs. Jennie Parr, Topeka, Mrs. Joseph Na- Rossville, Mrs. Dewy Maupin, Silver Lake: Mrs. Glenn Groves, Carthage, Mo., and Mr. Francis Lambert, of varre, Dighton. Kan. a brother, William Lambert, of St. Marys.
Funeral services will be held here Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Methodist church with Rev. G. C. Albin of Topeka officiating. Mr. Joe Shenk, A. B. Jamieson, Ted Fields, Fred Mason, John Roush and Frank Page will be pallbearers.
Burial services at the Rossville City cemetery.
