    Elmer and Marcial Lambert, Delia, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary as guests of honor at a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 20, in the Fellowship Hall of the Rossville United Methodist Church, 411 Pearl, Rossville. Hosting the occasion will be their children, Richard and Cindy Langworthy, and their grandchildren. Their son, Terry W. Lambert, is deceased.

    Marcial Robinson and Elmer Lambert were married June 30,1948, at Seaman Congregational Church, Topeka.

    Mr. Lambert retired in 1986 from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 31 years of service. Mrs. Lambert retired from Kaw Valley USD #321 in 1990.

    Susan C. Haight became the bride of Terry W. Lambert at 4 p.m. Sept. 6 in the Meade Park Gardens. The Rev. Richard D. Lewis officiated.

    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Haight and the bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Elmer W. Lambert, Delia.

    Attending the bride were Mrs. Maxine Oberer and Patti Haight, both of Topeka, and Mrs. Cindy Langworthy, Delia.

    The bridegroom was attended by Ray Sigman, Don Dachenhausen, and Carl Corona.

    Mrs. Lambert is a junior at Washburn University and is employed by Galleri, White Lakes.

    Terry W. Lambert
    Terry Wayne Lambert, 40, Topeka, was killed in an automobile accident Sunday, Sept. 17, 1989, in Kansas City, Kan.

    Mr. Lambert was a computer operator and currently was on leave of absence from the Coast Guard in Topeka, where he was employed, to take additional computer science courses at Washburn University.

    He was born July 21, 1949, in Topeka, the son of Elmer W. and Marcial A. Robinson Lambert. He spent most of his life in Topeka.

    Mr. Lambert attended Rossville Grade School and was graduated from Rossville High School. He was graduated from Washburn University in May 1971 with a bachelor’s degree in history and in December 1988 with an associate of arts degree in computer information systems.

    While at Washburn, Mr. Lambert received honors from Phi Theta Kappa national honors fraternity, Phi Alpha Theta international honors’ society in history, and departmental honors in history in May 1971. He was on the university dean’s honor roll several semesters.

    Mr. Lambert was a member of the YMCA. He was honorably discharged June 30, 1977, from the Army Reserve.

    He was a musician, having played bass guitar in several Topeka bands including the Gary Tilton Band, Forte, Backtrax, and currently Borderline.

    Survivors include his parents, Elmer W. and Marcial A. Lambert, Delia; and a sister, Cindy L. Langworthy, Rossville.

    Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Rossville. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery.
