    A marriage of interest to a good many Topeka people was solemnized Wednesday evening at 8 o’clock when Miss Martha Ann Werner became the bride of Mr. Leogard Theodore Lambotte. The wedding took place at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Werner, 1258 Mulvane street. Rev. J. W. Waldron was the officiating clergyman. Miss Lizzie Howell played the Lohengrin wedding march. Oak leaves arid purple and white flowers were used in 1he decorations. The ceremony was performed before a large window m the parlor which was banked with ferns arid begonias. The background was of oak foliage. Strands of purple and white reached from the arch to the chandeliers. The reception room and the dining room were decorated in leaves and white chrysanthemums. The bride looked pretty in a gown of white bridal satin with a beaded yoke and trimming used to finish the short-sleeves, high waist, and panel front She carried a shower bouquet of bride roses and fern. Miss Clara B. Lambotte, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor. She looked charming in a gown of white French net trimmed in silk brail and beads and satin hands draped over white satin, worn with a pearl necklace set with diamonds. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and fern. The bride’s brother, Mr. Edward Werner, was best man. About 40 guests were present, those from out of town being from Dover. Auburn, Menoken and Delia. The bride is an accomplished young woman with many friends. Mr. Lambotte is in the employ of the Santa Fe. After a short visit to Mr. Lambotte’s sister, Mrs. Charles E. Mitchell, of Rossville, and his brother. Mr. Henry Lambotte, of Delia, they will return to Topeka and will be at home to their friends after November 6, at 1258 Mulvane street. They received some handsome gifts, among them a chest of silver from the bride’s parents.

    George T. Lambotte
    George T. Lambotte, 79, Dover, died Monday, July 6, 1992, at a Topeka hospital.

    He was a farmer and rancher.

    He was born September 9, 1912, near Dover, the son of Leo and Martha Werner Lambotte, and spent his life in the Dover area. He was graduated from Dover High School in 1932.

    Mr. Lambotte was a member of the Federated Church in Dover.

    He was married to Opal Croyle November 5, 1938, near Dover. She survives.

    Other survivors include a son, Roger Lambotte, Dover; two sis¬ers, Barbara Willett and Martha Kaul, both of Topeka; three brothers, Virgil Lambotte, Harveyville, Norman Lambotte, Rossville, and Eldon Lambotte, Hiawatha; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

    Services were 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Federated Church in Dover. Burial was in Dover Cemetery.

    Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International and sent in care of Crable Funeral Chapel, Eskridge.

    Dover, the son of Leo and Martha Werner Lambotte, and spent his life in the Dover area. He was graduated from Dover High School in 1932.

    Mr. Lambotte was a member of the

    Other survivors include a son, Roger Lambotte, Dover; two sisters, Barbara Willett and Martha Kaul, both of Topeka; three brothers, Virgil Lambotte, Harveyville, Norman Lambotte, Rossville, and Eldon Lambotte, Hiawatha; two grandchildren; two step- grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Federated Church in Dover. Burial will be in Dover Cemetery. Mr. Lambotte will lie in state an hour before service time at the church.

    Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International and sent in care of Crable Funeral Chapel in Eskridge.
