  Obituary- Minnis, Claire Claire E. Minis Miss Claire E. Minis, 78, Manhattan, died Wednesday, October 9, 1991, at Saint Mary Hospital, following an extended illness. She was born May 17, 1913, in Portland, Ore., the daughter of John R. and Marjorie P. MacArthur Minis. Miss Minis had been a resident of Manhattan since 1928. For many years she worked for Perry Packing Company in old downtown Manhattan. In the 1940s, she worked at Margaret's Flowers in both Aggieville and downtown Manhattan. From 1959 until 1966, she worked for Manhattan Floral Company. She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Survivors include one brother, Russell G. Minnis, Rossville, and many other relatives. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Edwards-Yorgensen-Meloan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor William Levin and Pastor Wilbur Burton officiating. Interment was in the [missing rest]
