    Charles Mitchell, 73, of Maple Hill, dies
    Services for Charles Montgomery Mitchell, 73, Maple Hill, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Maple Hill Community Church, Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery, He died Sunday in a local hospital.

    A retired farmer, Mr. Mitchell was custodian of Maple Hill School the past 12 years. He was born in Washington County.

    He was a member of Maple Hill Community Church. He and Bonnie Lou Thomas were married November 12, 1916.

    Survivors include his widow, at home; a son, Billy, U.S. Air Force in Formosa; three brothers, Everett, Silver Lake, George, Rossville, and Bob, Cottonwood Falls; three, sisters, Mrs. Louise Robinson, Oakland, California, Mrs. Virginia Kelling, Midway, Ark., and Mrs. Margaret Vilander, 501 Van Buren.
