    Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mitchell will celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children, Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson, O’Fallon, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mitchell; and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mitchell, Delia.

    No invitations are being sent, but friends and relatives are invited to call at the Rossville Community Center between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 30. The couple ask that no gifts be presented.

    Mr. Mitchell was a farmer and stockman in the Delia community before he retired.

    The Mitchells have 10 grandchildren.

    Earl C. Mitchell
    CROSSVILLE - Earl c. Mitchell, 8$, Rossville, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 1089, at Rossville Valley Manor.

    He was born Oct. 24, 1900, near Delia, the son of William H. and Mary Anna Brown Mitchell. He spent his life in the Delia and Rossville communities. He was a retired farmer.

    He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and Delia Lodge No. 419, AF&AM, both in Delia, and past district deputy grand master of District No. 20 of the Grand Lodge of Kansas, AF&AM.

    He married Clara Edith Mahon April 29, 1922, in Topeka. She died July 3, 1986.

    Survivors include two sons, Bill Mitchell, Silver Lake, and Jack Mitchell, Delia; a daughter, Maureen Wilson, O’Fallon, Ill.; two brothers, Ray Mitchell and Ervin Mitchell, both of Rossville; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka. Delia Lodge No. 419, AF&AM, will conduct graveside services at Rossville Cemetery. Mr. Mitchell will lie in state after 3 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.
