    BYRON C. MITCHENER
    St. Marys, Kan., Dec. 29—Byron C. Mitchener, 74, well known attorney who died last Thursday morning, was born in Wyanette, Ill. attended Oberlin College and later the University of Michigan, and was graduated from the law school in 1888. Shortly afterwards he came to Kansas, being admitted to the bar at Topeka the following year. He married Stella Mae Short at St. Marys on July 12, 1892. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Wayne and John Lea Mitchener of Kansas City, Mo., and three daughters, Mrs. John Lodenkamper of St. Louis, Mo,. Mrs. W. F. Hardesty and Mrs. A . P. Henry of Topeka.

    The funeral was held at the Catholic church Sunday, with interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
