    Joseph Lane
    Joseph Lane, 84, Delia, died Monday night, April 10, 1974, in a Topeka convalescent center. He was admitted to a Topeka hospital March 21 after he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and was released April 14. He later was a patient in the same hospital from April 20 to May 8.

    He was born December 30, 1889, at Delia and spent most of his life in the Delia community. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Delia. He was a farmer before he retired.

    Many nieces and nephews survive.

    Rosary was recited at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Verschelden Funeral Home at St. Marys. Services were at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Delia. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery at St. Marys.

    Casket bearers were Jim Simecka, Bob Kerwin, Bob Burgett, Wilbur Tomson, Joe Floersch and Ben Simecka, all of Delia.
