ROSSVILLE - Maurice L. Montgomery, 91, Rossville, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, at Valley Manor in Rossville. Mr. Montgomery was a farmer and stockman and had worked for Jackson Farmers at Denison for 20 years. He had lived at Holton for 25 years before moving to Rossville in 1998. He was a member of the Rossville United Methodist Church and was a former member of Evangel United Methodist Church in Holton. He married Helen M. Moser on Sept. 21, 1934. She preceded him in death on June 12, 1971. He married Mary Runnels McDonald on Feb. 23, 1973, at Holton. Survivors are his wife, Mary, at home; a son, Ronald Montgomery, Holton; a daughter, Linda Sweany, Denison; a stepson, Jim McDonald, Yuba, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Joan Hubbard, Maple Hill; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren. A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in Larkinburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. Friday until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to Rossville United Methodist Church and sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, 66436.

Maurice L. Montgomery, 91, Rossville, died Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at the Rossville Valley Manor.
Mr. Montgomery was a farmer and stockman and had worked for Jackson Farmers at Denison for 20 years. He had lived at Holton for 25 years before moving to Rossville in 1998.
He was a member of the Rossville United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Evangel United Methodist Church in Holton.
On September 19,1934, he married Helen M. Moser. She died June 12,1971. He married Mary Runnels McDonald February 23, 1973 in Holton. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Ronald Montgomery, Holton; a daughter, Linda Sweany, Denison; a step-son, Jim McDonald, Yuba, OK; a step-daughter, Joan Hubbard, Maple Hill; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren and eleven step-greatgrandchildren,
