    Steven W. Lauber
    Steven W. Lauber, 53, of Topeka, walked into the sunlight of Heaven on Thursday morning, May 17, 2012 at the Rossville Health Care Center. He was born May 21, 1958 at Franklin, NE the son of Kenneth E. Lauber, Sr. and Darlene Melton Lauber. He attended Highland Park South, Eisenhower Junior High and graduated from Highland Park High School in 1978. Steve worked at Meier's Market on Silver Lake Road during High School and later for Walmart. He was a former member of Lakeview Church of the Nazarene.

    Survivors include his mother, Darlene Lauber of Topeka; his brother and sister in law, Kenneth Jr. and Carrie Lauber, of Topeka; and great-niece, Alexis Lauber of Topeka; nephew Jared Lauber and his wife Jennifer of Topeka; aunts and uncles, Floyd and Nadine Lauber of Silverton, Oregon, Rev. Duane and Lita Lauber of North Platte, NE and numerous cousins and a host of friends.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Lauber and grandparents, Hobert and Lula Melton and Fred and Mary Lauber.

    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, May 21 at Davidson Funeral Home. Mr. Lauber will lie in state at Davidson Funeral Home from 1-8 Sunday where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 Sunday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to the Naponee Wesleyan Church, Naponee, NE and can be sent in care of Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N. Kansas, Topeka, Kansas 66608.
