    Matt G. Mulkey
    HOLTON - Matt G. Mulkey, 78, Holton, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 1988, at a Topeka hospital.

    Mr. Mulkey had been an employee of the Hercules Powder Company near De Soto for 30 years.

    He was born Feb. 20, 1910, at Osceola, Mo., the son of Marion and Sally Childs Mulkey. He moved from Osceola to Holton in 1972.

    He was married to Lillian Richardson on April 1, 1939. She died Dec. 15, 1981.

    He was married to Maxine Conger on Nov. 5, 1982, at Holton. She survives.

    Two sons, Jimmy Mulkey and an infant son, preceded him in death.

    Other survivors include a daughter, Rose Myers, Holton; a son, Bill Mulkey, Bolivar, Mo.; two stepsons, Leonard Myers, Holton; and Ronald Myers, Holdrege, Neb.: a brother, Roy Mulkey, Highland, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

    Services will at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church in Holton. Burial will be in the Underwood Cemetery in Williamstown. Mr. Mulkey will lie in state from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at First Christian Church in Holton where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday. Mercer Funeral Home of Holton is in charge of arrangements.
