    Matthew E. MulIigan
    MESA, Ariz. — Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at All Saints Catholic Church here for Matthew E. Mulligan, 78, Mesa, formerly of Topeka, Kan. He died Monday, Aug. 25, at a Mesa nursing home.

    Mr. Mulligan was a bus driver in Topeka before he moved to Mesa in 1969. He was an Army Infantry veteran of World War II and had spent two years in Europe.

    He was born Feb. 4, 1908, at Delia, Kan., the son of Edmund and Margaret McNeive Mulligan.

    Mr. Mulligan was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Mesa.

    He was married to Blanche Keesling Aug. 13, 1936, in Topeka. She survives.

    Other survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Ellen Roth, St. Joseph, Mo., Mrs. Betty Westmoreland, Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Agnes Stoerck, Coeur d'Alene. Idaho, Mrs. Bernadine Morsch, Wayland, N.Y., and Mrs. Rose Semler, San Antonio, Texas; and four brothers, Tom Mulligan and Andy Mulligan, both of Topeka; Wiliam Mulligan, Kansas City, Mo., and Joseph Mulligan, Santa Rosa, Calif.

    Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Gardens at Mesa. Visitation will be at 7 p.m. today at the Chapel of Prayer in Mesa. Bunker's Mortuary in Mesa is in charge of arrangements.
